S.S.V.P.S. Dhule’s late S.D. Patil alias Baburao Dada Arts, Commerce and Late Bhausaheb M.D. Sisode Science College, Sindkheda, Dist- Dhule ( Maharashtra) was established in June, 1970.

There is  separate building of library consisting of readers room, Books issuing counter, Staff reading room, Drinking water, Cabin for the Librarian, Battery backup (Invertors). The built up area of the Library is 2080 sq. ft. The library building was constructed under the UGC scheme (9th Plan). The Library is kept open from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. One Library Clerk and Three Library Attendant have been working in the  Library.

We have well equipped library with enough space and ventilation both for library staff and students. All types of literatures are made available in a sufficient number. About 20773 books are available with 42 periodicals and journals. The library is made of books, text books, references and booklets. There are separate reading halls for gents and ladies; about 50 ladies and about 50 boys can at once read in the reading hall. The halls are abutting to the books’ storage for an easy handling. Besides, a monitor is supervising the reading activities of the students. The library is an inviting place due to natural surroundings and therefore kept open from 7.30 a.m. up to 5.30 p.m. The library is regulated with : Every student is allowed to utilize library facilities only when the students produces the identity card of the college; strict observation of code of conduct of the college is taken for granted on the part of the students. To encourage the inborn potential talents of students “Saptarang” Wallpaper has been started. Book-bank facility is also available for the meritorious students.

The undergraduate students can borrow the books from the library via a procedure for one and two days respectively. The procedure consists of filling the demand slip followed by the enquiry about the selection of the book on an allotted day. An undergraduate student can keep the book for a day can use the book for couple of days. Programme of issuing books for home has already been displayed on the notice board of the library. Class wise specific days are fixed for issuing the books. The book once borrowed carries one rupee fine for a day provided it is not returned to the library within the given time limit.

Books may be issued to the students with the submission of their identity cards with a library as long as the book is being used. The students are directed to inform the librarian if provided or issued book is either damaged or lost. In case the book is lost, the student has to pay double the amount of the book.They are directed to check the conditions of the book before the book is issued to them.The students are to immediately see the librarian if their identity cards are lost.
